Wow that's a deal on that Columbia Rover gas tank skid plate! I installed one on my trail D2. The fit and finish is spot-on, the holes all lined up perfectly and even better, it raised the gas tank by about 1/2".

I also got a Columbia Rover SS rear door panel, I haven't installed it but I checked the alignment of the panel and holes, they were on the mark! I wish other aftermarket products were made this well.

Question on the Fox shocks, are you using the 2.0 Piggy Back shocks? If so, is there enough room if the front shock tower for the reservoir?

not piggy back, just remote resi. the shocks finally go on this upcoming sunday, so i'll let you guys know. if not i'll just mount them behind the wheel well like my buddy lee did. i'm going to try to keep them attached to the shock body. we will see.

i'd like to get that panel as well.

Yeah, there should be enough room to leave them like they are, I just put mine up to kinda keep them out of the way...

There is definitely not enough room to mount the res and the shock body in the front shock tower. I ran the res out of the top of the shock tower and found a place to mount it.

got the shocks and gas tank skid installed today. took about 2 and a half hours for al of it. had to grind down the upper shock mounts a good bit. they'll need to be revalved as it rides too much like a caddy right now. that won't be good for when it's loaded down.

i have 4" of shaft showing, and about 6" between the axle and bumpstops, so new poly stops or a spacer will be needed.

got this box today for all my spares, tools, and recovery gear. i wanted something easier to take out and put back in. i might put one jump seat back in as well. $23 at academy sports. it's no pelican, but i think it'll do just fine sitting in the back of my truck.

the box i have is now for sale. it's made of MDF and is carpeted. it's in the for sale section as well as the wheel spacers and gas tank strap. i decided to go a different route with steel wheels and need to sell the spacers to help fund some plugs and wires.

Hijack on. Are they not making anymore for the D1 or did you mean the last D1 plate that is blemished.

Last blemished D1 plate. They still have D1 plates new. This one had a tooling defect. Said no one would really notice, but they couldn't sell it full price. $165 shipped to Boise.
