I've been checking out back roads routes and mentally working up a spares check list. When does everyone usually get there?

I'm considering coming down from Fredericksburg with my SIII turd, never had it off pavement other than bumming around the farm. Will I get stoned if I show up towing it behind a Toyota? Any plans to set up an ExPo camp?

just before you enter the farm, pull over and hook up a tow strap to the Toyota and pull it into the encampment. You'll be received like Roman Ceaser.:coffeedrink:

I had thought of this as well, I could flat tow or even rent a u haul trailer and tow the IIa up there just to save a few hours on the trip and put less strain on her (and me). I figure it would not be cricket to do so and might brand me as "a trailer queen" (gads!).

I guess I could scout a parking lot or field near by and park the 4Runner and trailer and roll up in the IIa trying not to look too fresh with maybe a little grease on my forehead to add to the authenticity.:coffeedrink:

X2. I haven't been to MAR before, but at the NC Rover rallies plenty of folks trailer their rigs in, with a variety of marque tow vehicles.

As long as you have a Rover somewhere on your person you should be good.

Alternatively, put a Green Oval badge on your toyota grille (think of it as a branding).:ylsmoke:

ROAV has posted that the trails from the Pearls Pond property will be included in the trail network for MAR. This should allay any fears about trails.

Update.
We have secured access to the trails system on the old property at Pearls Pond for this year's MAR. That means you can run the old trails and the new ones. There will be no camping at Pearl's Pond. We may close a small section of that network to keep folks away from the house.

Don't worry about bringing your yota. I drove my girls at the recent URE rally because my disco had a broken brake line and it was the only other vehicle that we own that could make it around Uwharrie.

Lots of guys bring their dodges/fords/etc pulling trailers. Some guy had a sweet RR on 20s pulling a trailered d90.

I've been looking at V8 4runners with the intention of towing my SIII. Tow away, nobody will harm you for doing so.

In fact I plant to sell a spare flat tow bar at the MAR flea market!

i tow with my chevy all the time. Its nice to jump in the crew cab and cruise home at 75 pulling a trailer, plus lots of room for stuff.
