So, in OKC your camping months would be Sep to April unless you have AC. No way you would survive any other months anywhere near there unless you enjoy sleeping in your own sweat. Keep in mind most places these campers go actually cool down once the sun sets.
I am from OK so a lot of experience there. I made the mistake of trying to camp one time in May in the Kiamichi mountains and about got carried away by mosquito's. If it wasn't them it was the heat and other bugs. I never made that mistake again. When I go back to camp it is only between Oct and Feb for the most part. My preference is for snow and cold. That is when it is fun to me.In my RTT’s and ground tents, it was the same for camping in OK. More like October to Feb. Lol. I frequent CO and NM mostly. Would like to camp more in OK even in warmer months but that humidity can be brutal. Not sure why I act surprised; have lived in OK for 37 of my 39 years. Ha!
Thanks for all the input!

Well, I signed the papers for a new Mission Overland Summit trailer today. I appreciate all the helpful comments on this forum. Looking forward to seeing the build progress on Instagram and Facebook and can’t wait to get out in it in the new year.

No doubt! Cold weather camping is my jam, too. Those skeeters are brutal during the spring and summer in OK. I have thought about camping in AZ (Sedona/Flagstaff) and other places during the warmer months. Sounds like the fan does plenty to keep things cool. Getting closer to biting the bullet for one of these.
I got it (well, WILL get it) direct from them. It’s part of the upcoming build so I should be able to pick it up in Alberta in January. It’s “only” an 11-hr drive but the scenery is spectacular.Where did you get the trailer from?
