I think that might be me.

Weren't they Carl and Mark? And I thought they were from Colorado?

Heh. pretty bad. I'll dig through some of the video I have, I might have gotten some of them. I'll also ask my buddy that drove out with me, maybe he remembers.

ETA: Nope, I think that's Carl. Looking through the videos, you're right..California. And his truck number is CA227409..also, I remember he did Solar Power installations in remote areas. I might be able to look him up via that method. come to think of it.

Thanks for checking guys.

Regarding the cargo body on the back, I'm kinda fond of the industrial look. I was curious as to whether the interior was fitted out as a living space.

He had it fitted out as a cargo box, and living space.

The two bikes you see are his and his brothers'. The front of the box has a bunk bed installation. Passenger side of the box has a counter that runs down the side, with storage, a sink, etc. He has a small winch to drag the bikes up a ramp, and I'm pretty sure he runs E-track inside to tie the bikes down. A standard roll up door, no lift gate. That's pretty much what I remember. Very minimalist, but seemed to work fine. He did mention he uses the truck when he does his solar installs, so I'm sure it's primarily a commercial vehicle.

I'll figure out where he's from and try to contact him. Nice guy, I'm sure he wouldn't mind showing some pics if I can get him on here.

He also mentioned that he had owned the truck for more than ten years.... That's about all I've got... Very friendly people.

This was in today for some quick mods.

Really well set up NPS from South Oz. Note the boat loader and solar on the roof..... full of camping gear in the back and he tows a full size Bushtracker too. They do semi professional prospecting. So those guys would usually set up the van as a base and free camp in the vehicle as they cover new ground over the period of a week or so and then return to the van to stock up again.
Very, very nice.

Hello, everyone, Nick from Colorado.

I had my heart set on a Ram Promaster to convert to an RV but after seeing some 4x4 Sprinters and Ford vans I decided to look into the Fusos. So if you see some liquid sitting around it's just me drooling over these awesome setups.

hello everyone, im new to this forum having recently purchased a canter crew cab 4x4 . Bought the truck sight unseen and also a slide on camper site unseen from australia whilst living in China. Landed at Brisbane airport , picked up the truck, drove and picked up camper. Parked illegally in front of my sisters house for 2 days , got the grinder and the welder out for a quick rebuild and some mods. 48 hrs later loaded the wife and the baby and hit the road . 2 months and 12,000 km later got back on a plane to china. Truck never mist a beat . Camper stayed on the back. Great times. Back in Aus next month for another 3 month road trip. Need 2 5 stud canter rims for spares. Last trip did 12000 km with no spare. will be in qld. cheers for all the helpful info on this site. marty
