Got my parts in. Getting LASIK done today, so I won't be able to install until Saturday most likely...

New sway bar bushings (MOOG)

What I'm really excited about, JKS Quicker Discos

And what I'm super pumped about, I got a Kobalt workbench for Christmas, and my garage has been a torn apart mess. Finally got to cleaning it and throwing a bunch of stuff away, and built it. Now I have somewhere to work!

Man those JKS disconnects look awesome. Don't you basically pull two pins and, boom, disconnected with nothing dangling in the way?

Yea. I haven't installed yet, doing that either today or tomorrow, but if they're like I think they are, you have a pin instead of a bolt, and then you drill a hole on the wheel well and the pin/link swing up and connect there to keep them out of the way.

Worth the $130 I'm sure.

Repaired my winch line from where I pulled it out too far back in November. Silver it's good, blue is good, red is getting close, and hot pink means that I'm on the last roll on the drum. Colors are based on what I can see while I'm on the driver's seat.

Been working on the house, and cleaning the garage.

Well, I'll probably put the sway bar links and the bushings on this weekend...in other news someone I used to work with was talking to me the other day and casually mentioned he had a 250cc dirt bike he was trying to get rid of...as soon as he said the word "Free" I was interested...Apparently is a 1992 ATX 250CC 2 stroke. He said he's rode it some, but it needs carb work. I hope to get it running this weekend...

Got the bike running. Ended up being a 1995 after I found the VIN Plate.

Anyways, been getting progressively worse gas mileage. Started out after the lift and tires maintaining around 14MPG, 16+ on long highway trips. I was very happy with this. After the KAT trip, on the way home, I dropped to around 11MPG and have been slowly dropping since, now I'm at around 8-10MPG.

Did some research, had a slightly rough idle, but not a miss that I could tell. Checked around for obvious issues, then found the intake gaskets are known weak points...well...when I opened the throttle body and looked down at the intake plate, I saw this...

That should be clean and have no debris or oil on it...it's coated in oil unfortunately. So, I ordered the "fix" kit from Hughes as I saw it suggested almost everywhere.

Starting on it today I guess. Hopefully this restores some power, smooth idle, and fuel mileage!

Can't see your pics from work (stupid filters) but I'm guessing it's the intake plenum you're referencing. The 5.2/5.9 are certainly prone to that failing. When I had it happen on one of my ZJ's we didn't notice any mileage issues, but it's a good thing to replace either way. We found out we were low on oil as we started this descent from 12,801 ft.

It's not a super hard repair, but it can be time consuming. Go slow, and remember where all of the parts go!

That's the plan! I'm going to start on it today probably. Might wait until tomorrow and just plan on working on it until it's done...I'm expecting it to be a 5 hour job or so.

Well, with the LED lit battery gauge, and the pretty blue switch for my second battery...I couldn't resist...

Lit up in the day:

And at night:

It's a very light blue, eBay seller called it "Ice Blue"...I considered white, but I decided that I would rather have a off-white that wasn't yellow...easier on my eyes...
Also did the gauges...they are more "blue" and less "purple" in person, lol. I have to remove the cluster one more time to recolor the needles red...
