You have a case of the Cruiser lean. While you are ordering the suspension, you should also order a few 10mm and or 20mm trim packers. It will probably lean with the new suspension too. Embrace the lean...

80 priorities

Sound like you are on the right track for building an 80. I would recommend you get sliders before any other modification, snorkles, gears etc unless money is not an object. Never understood the need for a snorkle other than the looks factor. I would also suggest some form of rear bumper if you plan to wheel. These are the most vulnerable places on an 80. I know many say no gears are needed for 35' tires but you will feel the difference on hills. I felt the difference with 285 mud terrains and it was an adjustment when climbling long hills. There are many discussions on Mud on the subject and you will get both arguments. That being said most depends on how you will use the 80. with say 80% daily driving 33" would be better since many have problems with 35" without caster plates and driveshaft mods that creat vibes and wander. I would check out slee's sight for newby guide to 80's in the techical section as a good read. And of course I would do all the baseline repairs before any mods even though they are not glamorous or look good. Mud has a good write up on this in the Newbies guide or in the top of the 80 sections FAQ's. This from a newb on the portal

Welcome to ExPo! :wavey:

Thank you. I will gather information at these sites. I have done some read up on Slee's site, and have found it very helpful!

ARGH!!!! THe dreaded Cruiser Lean !!!!!!!!!!! At least you've got a good suspension to fix it ;)

Get the BFG AT's... Personal pref, but they've been OUTSTANDING tires for my 4Runner and are wearing like Iron. They're also slightly more agressive then the Revo's, although people swear the Revo's work well too so... For the NW, I find the BFG's to be a better choice, terrain may play a role as to wich tires work better for you though. Meaning: The Revo's may well be better in the dry stuff in AZ and Utah where the WET NW is a better home for the BFG's.

That's just my .02

Nice truck mate.

Cheers

Dave

Nice Looking Rig.

You got one of the super rare "manual seats with lockers" Cruisers. Not easy to find. If you want power seats, there is a guy on mud looking for the manual ones.

Yes. I definitely like the manual seats.

It should only be another month or so until I get the OME coils for it. At that time, I'll get tires as well.

Nice cup-holder!

Love the 80 series Land Cruiser, one of the best vehicles on the planet, but seriously, WTH's with the lack of freakin' cup-holders?

See the cupholder thread on Mud.

The cleanest look for the front is the Disco Cup Holder. For the rear seats, I went with cup holders/trays that hang off the back of the front seats. They work very well.

Thanks for the Pics Mr Leary. that sure is one sexy ride and I wish I had had one this last week. of course i wish had had a lot of things this last week. such as more cargo room. 4 doors, selectable locker rather than the lunch box etc etc.

roughly how much floor space is in the LC? w/o third row seats?
