I guess I should update this thread if anyone is interested. Have done a few more mods, but am waiting on some more wire to arrive so that I can revamp the 12v set up and then tidy it all up.

I am interested! Always love seeing 70 series builds. We can't have them over here, so I have to drool over pics from people like you.

Plus your photos are pretty decent ;)

Yeah I have a few ideas for drawers, just need to see how much room I will have left over after 2 x 90litre water tanks are installed under the tray.

And I just installed this USB insert, I think it looks schmick :) should keep my ipad and other things charged while driving.

Do not worry about the holes as they will be filled with switches for work lights etc.

Hi Scott,

Can I ask where you got the usb insert from please L

Well a bit has happened as I was involved in a car accident, I was driving in kakadu taking night photos and came across a large buffalo on the road which resulted in me trying to miss it and rolling my approximately 6 times. My ute is a ride off and I am lucky to have survived. I waited 4hrs for someone to be driving past and another few hrs waiting for the ambulance.

It was covered by insurance and they will be paying me out.

Damn, that's scary.
Looks like it actually held up quite well though, considering the multiple rolls....
Hope you're doing ok.

That's not good Scott, but seeing as you are posting here we can assume you're not too seriously injured from that?
So you going to replace it with another 79 series? I just bought one today and need to wait till August sometime before i can get it, seemed to be a few people buying them at the moment.

Laceration to my head. Broken metacarpal in right hand, compound fracture/compression T6/7. Some grazes and bruising.

Will probably get same ute, but different colour...

So I take it you won't be driving it to the Cape!

Really glad that you came out with not too badder injuries. Get better soon.

Dan.
