My wife and I just bought this specifically for mountain driving here in southern New Mexico, plus some overlanding as it presents itself.
My new (to me) 2008 outback 3.0R LL Bean, 100,000 miles, in the Black Range in southern New Mexico

all in good time. It has new Toyo Eclipse rubber, so I'm probably going to wait until they're worn down a bit before replacement. Probably do the lift kit at the same time. We're not planning anything too radical yet, keeping it mostly stock for the turny-twisty New Mexico mountain road, with a bit of a lift for some of the high-crowned desert roads around the Jornada del Muerto.
