The turtle and the grasshopper, actually pretty kool names. You guys are fun, and very talented. You should get together this summer being as close as you two are. I check everyday to see how things are going. Great ideas, fine craftsman ship, attention to detail. You are helping all that look at your builds. Neat to see.

The "Turtle" clearly has me beat!!!! I am all good with "Grasshopper" as long it can stay silver and black!

So it hit 60 here today and I had to be home with my baby. So..... I was able to finish priming the trailer during nap time! :wings: I used Rustoleum for rusty surfaces. It looks like I am going to give Rustoleum hammered a try.

Looks good grasshopper..Are you going to use a piece of aluminum for the floor or wood?
A truck bed wood kit would look sweet.

Love it! Can't wait to see the matching silver.
How did the cover turn out?

I found the Rustoleum hammered in Silver. I will post a couple pics of the color in a few. The match is not perfect and is a but grayer, but I don't think it will be noticeable with it back behind the Jeep. I am suppose to have the cover back by Friday!

Here is a small piece of metal (sorry I didn't have a bigger one) I painted with the silver hammered. It is definitely a bit grayer up close, but I don't think it will be noticeable with it back off the Jeep. What do you think? (FYI:the far right is not painted)

Good thinking there. You surely have them tires stuffed in there.. I think the silver will look great.. Shadows and all play with the human eyes.

Weather is suppose to be good this weekend and next week, so I should be able to get the fenders cut and hope to have it painted by the end of next week. I havn't heard from the guy about my cover, but that is suppose to be done tomorrow! :wings:

Never got the call telling me the cover was done on Friday! :( However, I was able to get the Duplicolor Bed liner on the inside of the trailer and the first coat of the Rustoleum hammered on the box. :wings: I also covered the POR15 from the box to the coupler with the bed liner as well since they claim it doesn't do well with UV and I wasn't too excited about the gloss black. That will leave me with the fender trim, cut the fenders for the LED lights and the floor!
