Need Some Opinions - F550 Chassis Future Build

Hello,

I am wanting to get some opinions on buying a 2024 F550, 7.3L Gas 4x4 for a future overland build. I want to build out an expedition rig and I currently have quotes to go to a super single with liquid springs. Is wrapping that all into one purchase a solid plan? I am not worried about the loan or over all cost. I am just someone who always likes to have an oh crap plan and I am not sure how easy it would be to get sell of a chassis cab like that should I need to. I know most people choose the Power Stroke rather than the Godzilla engine and that is what has lead me to making this post.

Currently the wife and I have talked about going ahead and getting the truck and mods described above and then over the course of the next year get a box and build it out.

Thanks,

I went with a C&C F450 with the gas motor myself. In fact, this is my second one as I had a f250 w/ the 7.3 and a flat bed camper and wanted to go bigger. I took the easy and cheaper route and went with a Big Foot camper but made a few changes to the spec camper build when I ordered it.

Also, no liquid spring here as I've spoken with a few guys that weren't impressed. Even so much that one had his removed and switched over to the Buckstop E Clik. My suspension mostly Carli components with a PMF wide track steering stabilizer. My truck rides pretty good for the money and not sure I could justify dropping an additional $13k plus extra in suspension on top of what I spent.

I think Rossmonster has gone away from LS on their 550 also. Although I have never ridden with them, when I asked about putting them on their 350 baja the folks there were not happy with them off-road as they could feel it constantly adjusting. YMMV
