Do yall think that Lightforce 240s are brighter than these or not?

I have both on my rig and it's hard to say...the 240s I have are a pencil beam and the HID are more of a flood (yes I know filters are available for the 240s)...I will say I have considered, and still am considering selling the 240s and getting another set of the HIDs...

So the lightforces go further than the HIDs? Can you get these HID's in a driving or pencil light pattern or are they only sold as flood lights? Also, do you have a link to where you bought the HIDs. Thanks.

I am also considering buying some 240s and converting them to HID but I'm not sure if I want to gamble like this though.

Does anyone have any updates with these lights?

I am still toying with the idea of replacing my Hella 4000's with a set of these if I can get them shipped to GA.

Thanks!

Just convert your 4000's to HID, its easy. Thats what I did, and I can burn out retinas with my lights :) . Costs about 70 buck per set to convert them.

I have had them for a couple months now and I really like them although I haven't had as much experience with some of the higher end lights...
I will say that the wiring equipment they come with isn't very good I used all my own stuff for the connections except where it hooks into the lights themselves and I still have a bad connection usually only one of them will come on... I hesitate to cut off the connections because there is not much wire to play with but I think that should take care of it... When both of them do come on they are very bright.

I still like mine. They have performed flawlessly. I spliced them into my stock pigtails so they are plug and play. To make sure it was bullet proof I solder the wires used heat shrink and then coated the whole connection with liquid electrical tape.

I've had mine for a couple months now, and have run them for over 6 hours at a whack twice. They are extremely bright and the pattern is perfect for dirt road driving. I've got mine aimed at the same point as the high beams, and they throw more light to the sides than the Hella 500 I had that were upgraded to 100W bulbs, and still give me better light at long range too.

I just saw that Checkers in Longmont had these on the shelf. I don't need another set, but wanted to share in case someone needed them.

I am not sure how long it will be before the polycarbonate covers become so sand pitted that they will be unusable. Replacement covers may be hard to come by since these are not a common size.

Just a quick idea...I used to use RockBlocker on my Impreza. You can get it in different colors also...made by 3M...pretty cool stuff.

funny this comes back up. I saw them in Checker for $110 and there is a sale coming out soon including them again. Not sure if it is the $110 price or if they'll be cheaper again. They are on the shelves at Checkers...

Thanks for that post. I had forgotten about that stuff. It really would make a good protective cover should I need a replacement solution.

May seem like a stupid question, but... Could I mount these on my brush guard and use them as my "low beams" and turn off my headlights? Would it be possible to use these as a headlight replacement? I want to get them but would like to use them as much as possible.

I couldn't find any Kragen in So. Cal / Orange County to stock them at all. I went to 5 of them already.

I just picked up a set. Couldn't pass on the price.

How are they holding up for you guys who've used them for the past year ?
