New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Buddha.

Finally in expo white.
2022 Ranger
10 speed transmission
2.3L I4 137cid
270 HP @ 5,500 rpm
310 TQ @ 3,000 rpm

2022 Canyon / 2022 Colorado
8 speed transmission
3.6L V6 170cid
308 HP @ 6,800 rpm
275 TQ @ 4,000 rpm

2023 GMC Canyon / Chevrolet Colorado
8 speed transmission
2.7L I4 Turbo HO
310 HP @ 5,600 rpm
430 TQ @ 3,000 rpm

Is the 2.3L single or twin cylinder?

The 3.6L is naturally aspirated?
I think the 2.3 is single turbo, if that’s what you’re asking.

The 3.6 is non turbo. I think it’s the base engine in the Camaro.

Just drive them. There's a lot more that factors into how a truck feels / performance than what you've listed.
You're way too focused on engine / transmission. What about weight? gear ratio's etc... Just go drive em and see what you like.

Not super relevant, but checked out a new SV Frontier today, crew cab 6 foot box, payload sticker was 1110lbs.
Seems typical of the class, but if Yota offers a Taco with a couple hundred more.... Would be the ticket for a lot of folks

The ranger would likely run the same running gear as the Bronco. Either the 4.47 if sold with 35 inch tire capability, or the standard go to 3.37 used in the current ranger.

Who knows.

One would think they would have the same transmission too.

Regearing a Ranger with a factory locker isn't cheap, the factory ring gear is welded to the carrier to save weight and help mpg/nvh... so you gotta get a new carrier.

Open diff is bolted on like normal.

Oh I don’t know. I was just commenting on the standard Ranger.

Looks like Tremor is still 3.73, not seeing anything on the Raptor.

But on one hand the Raptor is more of a higher speed thing which lower gearing may not be such a big deal. On the other hand the Bronco Raptor has 4.70 differential gears.
