New Tripolina Chair update

Back in post #60 the question was asked about using this as a dining chair. Now that there's a bunch of you out there that have these in use, what are your thoughts on the dining chair issue? Is this the only chair you carry or do you prefer a "traditional" chair for dining? I loved sitting in these at OX13 but forgot to consider dining use and need a single chair solution. Thoughts?

The 'genuine' Tripolina chair was a copy of the English Fenby campaign/safari chair. The canvas seat is traditional. Some of the Tripolinas were made with leather seats. We have looked at using a top grade leather for the seat, but they would be EXPENSIVE. It will happen eventually.

Ramjet - we are planning on having 75-100 chairs at OX'14. We will begin taking orders as we get a little closer - probably in May.

That was tongue in cheek, I will be buying 2 as soon as you start taking orders. I've scoured the net and can't find anything that will look good on my covered porch and also pack up for trips. Your chair is classy and functional enough to kill both those birds, and nothing beats a double! Thanks for producing these and keeping the cost so reasonable!

Mike, I continue to get compliments on mine whoever sees mine.
I will be buying a second one from you too when they become available.

It is a great chair indeed.
Very comfortable to sit on my porch too and play my guitar(s) outside during good weather.

Thanks, Mike. I guess I should have bought some last year. I won't miss them this time.

Mike,

Are you taking Paypal at Expo? If not, can I pay you now with Paypal and pick up at Expo? Thanks.

We will be able to take credit cards at Expo. We are not taking anyone's money until we have them done, and we are just finishing the chairs and getting them ready for Expo. We are bringing about 50 with us.

I am considering having my son pick one up for me since he lives in Flagstaff.
Do you still have a website to check the colors out? If not can you give us some info on what selection will be available and if there are any Expo price breaks?
