Looks were not a problem. They should have focused on where it could use improvement, fuel economy. By using direct injection, they could of had a win-win more mpg, and power. Wasted effort in my eyes.
The newer Tundra's have a face that only a mother could love...
I feel like Toyota could do a little better in the fuel economy department as well. I also feel like the actual bodies on the older models just felt more solid.
The need for an economical, small displacement diesel in the American market is present.
