Serious, proven reliability throughout the 3rd world. Run out of money mid-adventure, pull over to the side of the road and start selling tacos, mangos or that cute younger sister. You can hop it up with fancy rims and other bling or you can leave it as it is and sneak through under cover like Burton did. Who needs a helmet when you can wear a turbin, right? "Think of the money you will save." (I put it in quotes because that's what dear old Dad told me when I went to law school, brings a tear to my eye everytime I think of it.) Seriously, many of the high end builders, or as the pedalphiles like to say "constructeurs", are coming out with versions of cargo bikes. Go over to crazyguyonabike.com and look at the journals under "cargo bikes". Look at some of the high end internal geared touring bikes coming out, they have racks that are part of the frame.
