Oh, my bad, I was convinced they were 16". Anyways, I bought a used 4x4 Hiace and looking for new tyres. My travels will take me to some dirt roads and occasionally sand. I would like to lift the vehicle a little bit using larger tyres giving it a little bit better ground clearance and retaining some when I air down for the sandy bits.
The tyres on the last picture (with the canoe on the roof) are those 225/70-15? They look quite large.

Yepp, they are 225/70-15 :)

You can crank up the torsion bars in front (remember to cut down stop rubber) and fabricate a spacer for rear coil springs, that will help some with the ground clearance.
Biggest problems with tires is load index, I haven't found some A/T or M/T tires yet with enough load index that isn't to big to fit :-( (max 5% increase in circumference is the law)
If you find some please tell me,I don't need them but you know :victory:

Thanks.
I have some more ideas, but right know all my time and money go to my motorcycle, planning a big trip this year :)

Too bad, BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO would be nice. They are 215/75R15/C, but the rating is 100. The size difference is 4.45 %. I might try them out, since I'll be driving out of the country anyways and I won't be fully loaded.

Here is some extra equipment I would love to have. New Transfer with 2wd, 4wd w/open centerdiff, 4wd with locked center diff, 4wd w/locked center diff and LOW range :)

To bad it's so expensive. About 10000 EUR or 13000$

Arctictrucks can also deliver ARB air locker rear.
And I guess it will be pretty easy to install that same locker up front

Here is some photos of a damn cool arctictruks build HiAce with BF allterrain :)

Nice one, that definitely sits higher.

By the way - do you have any experience with aligning of the sliding doors? Seems like my both doors sagged a little bit in the front and are hitting the frame when I close them. I need to lift the front part of them by about 0.5 cm.

If you are sure the door hinge/rollers are ok I think you can adjust it a bit on both upper and lower front hinges.
A had one of my sliding doors of a couple of years ago when fixing some rust and needed to adjust it when it all get together

Hej!
