Mine came with a lock set for the retaining pin to prevent unhitching.

I use my locking hitch pin and run it through the hole in the McHitch when it sits. Not fool-proof by any means, but it would slow someone down. There are so many ways to steal a trailer if someone is motivated. Make sure you have it insured.

Once I receive the trailer I will be keeping it under the carport. I know that I can buy a boot for the wheel. Which it looks like that might be one of my best options. I also have a couple of cameras right on it but cameras don't stop anybody these days.

Okay Guys and Gals I'm sure this has been asked before, but after researching I can not find anything.
I will have a OBI Dweller 13 + towing with a Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra. I do not have a truck yet that is coming in July. My Dweller is going to be delivered at my house in Dallas, TX. Once this is delivered I will be using the neighbors truck to pull the camper behind the house to my driveway. IF I am using a standard truck with no lift, what kind of SHANK will be good to line up with the Dweller? I have no clue what to look for with no truck to measure.

I use a 2 inch drop for towing behind by 2022 Tundra. I'd strongly recommend reviewing the attached McHitch instructions for proper receiver set up.
I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado (no lift) with a 2" receiver sitting at about 19" off the ground. The dealer installed the mchitch to a 2" Curt shank to get a 2" rise. At the time I was worried because when dry, the trailer was sitting a little high at the hitch. But with a full load it's almost fully distributed and the truck sits evenly, front to back. NOTE: I have a D15.

Challenge accepted! No, I won't give you my address.
1. Buy McHitch receiver for 300 bucks and wait 3 days until it arrives. Then steal trailer worth 100+ times the value.
2. Chains-only drag away. Short chains. Figure it out when you get home. A little messy, likely some damage to vehicle and maybe trailer, but hell, it's not like you paid for it.
3. Steal truck with receiver attached first. No, I don't leave mine attached typically, unless it's at the camp site or I'm planning a very early departure.
All that being said, I still think McHitch is more secure by obscurity than most. Dropping the hitch pin on the hitch is added security. Anyone motivated will steal anything. Watch Oceans Eleven.

Joke's on them. They'll be wishing they had a manual.
Update on my skylight leak.
It looks like they used regular caulk around the housing instead of self-leveling lap sealant; probably because they didn't want to interfere with the skylight lid closing.
The caulk was definitely lifting up from the roof. The part attached to the plastic housing wasn't loose.
I removed all the caulk, used a wire brush to get all of the old remaining caulk off and then thoroughly cleaned and dried the area around the seam.
I applied a thin bead of lap sealant and gave it 24 hours to dry.
We just had a 30 minute summer downpour and I'm not seeing any leaking.

So I built out the seating area to convert into a small bed. The cushions are able to lay virtually flat. I built a extension off the seat with some plywood, aluminum cleats, folding leg brackets , and some legs out of poplar. It’s large enough for a one year old Great Dane at 120lbs 👍👊🤪
