ooohhhh! Now you've peaked my interest! I LOVE the idea of ditching at 60% portion of the back seat and then doing something useful with the space. I have no need for that many seats whatsoever!

Heck yeah! Basically like this

And when you feel the need or for potential resale, the seat can be bolted right back in without any holes left behind!

Here is a sneak peek at the side storage as well

The GOBI rack is the best solution for the dual top crowd, however like JJ stated it is noisy and tall. You will need two cross bars (Rhino Rack, Yakama, Thule) which will raise your COG and highway driving will suffer from increased drag.

I just feel really funny about drilling holes in my hard top. That's probably the main reason I'd consider the Gobi. Technically, it's even removable if you know you won't be hitting the trails for a while.

Rin, Sick rig brother. The interior work is awesome. Wish we could get that done, but having a family, scratches out removal of any seats.

has anyone also recognized that the synergy bracket to eliminate the 60% section is no longer available?

The way I reasoned it to myself is, if the Gobi if removed leaves the Jeep needing paint work on the front A pillar and rear tub where it pinches it. Also being steel the lifespan is limited in the north east. The hardtop however, if the owner decides can be easily plugged or sold / traded for another hard top. No real damage to the jeep itself.

Yes that does limit the rear seat activities, luckily if I ever face that problem the Goose Gear is 100% bolt in and I can re install the other 60 seat!

Hey Rin, checking out the James Baroud awnings on the OK4WD website, and I don't see a 6 1/2 foot (78") option. Is the 78" awning still available? Can you confirm that is the length of the awning on your rig? Also, with the mounting brackets is the awning flush with the top of your rack?

I think I purchased the last new one on Earth. Either way Adventure Trailers also has a similar bracket, contact them and they should be able to help you.

Sorry about that, we actually had a few changes and the new awnings are 79" versus the older 70" models. I just had our web guy update that on the site.

The awning will sit flush with the top of the pioneer roof rack system from Rhino Rack. Feel free to p'm me and I will get you set up with the hardware for the rack to awning connection.
