OldSven's Tacoma

OldSven -
What part of Seattle are you in? I swear I've seen your rig recently in the Greenlake area...BTW, love it!

Do you have a link to the lights you are referring to, Not sure why you would have to machine the casing.

Another thought also guys... I used 3 rocket containers in the back of my Cherokee with the back seat out and the still allowed me to sleep on the or strap stuff to the top... it had to be moved to get into but it still worked.

I'm actually in Bellevue. Haven't been to the Greenlake area with this truck that I can remember, but I have seen a few that are really similar.

The LED's are just the bulb with a heat sink so basically I have to build something kind of like Roundeys or VisionX lights. They are a 3watt LED so they are going to be as bright as the 55w's but whiter and 8 of them will only use about 24w's total. Here is a link to them on ebay

Well did some serious winching tonight pulling juniper bushes out of my uncles back yard:littlefriend: The winch was assume, at one point it started dragging the truck towards the bush. The problem I had was by end of the night the cable was kinked and well toast. So what's the brand rope line to get? Winchline?

Nice, grew up on MI...

There is a white TRD, xtra cab, same wheels, similar lift and tire size, etc...that I see on a regular basis...so you're in good company!

Shoot me a PM sometime and we will have to go wheel it up.

major snippage.....

Since these are just open boxes I do need to find some small canvas pouches to separate the tools kind of like these http://www.vtarmynavy.com/canvas-travel-kit.htm
FWIW I've used these: http://www.mastercraftseats.com/access-tooltote.shtml in desert racers with very good results. The material is sort of like a heavy canvas (synthetic?) that has been impregnated with a vinyl/rubber/etc stuff. Pretty hard to hurt.
Some other, similar goodies.....

Ended up going back to the SirPlus store where I got the cans and they happened to have the bags too. Everything but the co2 bottle from the old truck box is in these four cans. One bag is sockets, one wrenches, and the other misc.
