Being a parent has been the absolute coolest experience of my life. My oldest Daughter and my Sons share my love for the outdoors, so I have ten million of these. A few of my favorites-
Youngest Son - AJ
Oldest daughter, now nine, about 5 in this photo.
Oldest Son, now 7, about 2 in this photo (Pedernales State Park, our home away from home)
Oldest Daughter again, at Wild Basin
Oldest Son again, contemplating just how damn cold that water is at Barton Springs...
The whole herd, discussing water reeds and marshes...
When I was a kid I remember trips crammed into the back of a 1978 Chrysler Cordoba. My sister always owned a pet hamster, and we had nobody to take care of the little rodent(s) so she'd bring it(them) with her cage and all. The cage would go in the middle and it'd become a shoving match between the two of us. We'd cram that wire rib-stabbing torture device back and fourth trying to eek out another 1/2" or so of butt room on that tiny bench seat. My kids ride in individual captains chairs in a van I can nearly stand in... kid's these days, they don't know how good they have it. Maybe that's why in their outdoor photo's they're always smiling.
Photos are taken in Glacier National Park, Mount Revelstoke National Park, Blanket Creek, Diez Vistas trail Buntzen Lake and Mount Seymour.
I love seeing all these great families enjoying themselves. Not a sad face in the bunch. Kids love being outdoors and spending time with their families if you give them the chance. My kids spend allot of time camping and exploring. Heres a favorite one of mine, my oldest daughter and me enjoying some soup. Soup just taste better sitting on a tailgate.
