VERY nice! My old eyes cant make out the print on tent cover...what MFG'r is that?....

That is the NEW Mombasa (aka Roof Top Tent), they are extremely different than the previous model. I played around with the one he had in Moab (which was the first in the US I am told) and subsequently one that arrived here in SLC a couple weeks back. A worthy alternative for the budget RTT option. I'm not sure if he is using those exclusively or if you can order any tent you like. I'm sure an Ezi-Awn would look great up there

You'll notice that the full overhead rack means that you have access to the cargo boxes even with the tent deployed. Room for a bike on there too.

Can anyone tell me what this setup would cost?

I too, would like to know what the suspension setup is. This is a crucial part of the expedition towing setup.

Suspension....

I "think" they are leaf sprung... from the dozen photos I snapped in Moab none were from a lower perspective.

Their sales material states: "3500lb axle gives plenty of load carrying capacity. Torsion and brake axles are available." Leading me to beleive not all of them come with torsion?

The suspension is the key to a good trailer foundation from my experience.

Before the Chaser, I had essentially given up on expedition trailers completely because of poor suspension design and lack of dampening. Torsion axles or leafs with no shocks require travel speeds on unimproved surfaces to be reduced too much and the trailer contents get destroyed from the vibration and impacts.

The Kimberly Kamper has a good suspension. I don't know what the Campa uses.

Of course I am pretty happy with my Chaser, but 12,000 miles in a year with no failures will do that to a guy ;).

:yikes: I emailed Outlander Trailers and they sent me the literature.
I think with the light use one of these trailers would see from me, they would serve well for me. I will likely bite the bullet next year. Especially if I get the rooftop tent this year, and want something more....
I would be getting the base model anyways..... cheaping it. If I could get one used for cheaper that would be even better.

Man thats much more affrodable then the Adventure Trailers. Evern if you got the base one you could get everything else cheaper at places like tractor supply company and what not.
