Overland Expo: Official Daily Update Thread

lost, but making time
Very glad to hear you and Scott and others comment on this set-up. I spotted it in one of the photo collections and thought it looked like a fantastic combination. If it had the seat reclining of which you speak, due to a large (but accordian-sealed) opening between the cab and the camper, it would be very close to perfect ?

BTW, did anyone see which FWC was on the car ? Was it the Eagle ?

Scott, I agree that the Brute paired with the Slide-In Camper is a sweet combo.

I'm only wishing that the Brute had a few more inches behind the seats so they could be reclined, and have a spot to store some gear in the cab with you.

Almost like a king cab jeep with the bed behind it. Now that would be one sweet ride

My wife loves Dave's dog. When we saw her last time I heard about how we needed another for a week.:coffeedrink:

Out of curioisty, do you guys know someone on here who owns a Silver JK with a Conquerer trailer? My dad saw it the 19th heading towards Alamagordo, New Mexico.
That was us; we went to Ruidoso for the night and passed through Alamagordo on the way.

But our JK is Red Rock... ...and was covered with dust. :costumed-smiley-007

Arrrrrrrggggghhhh ! Very unpleasant for all involved.

Are you folks okay ? Is you rig all right ?

Hey Frank, thanks for the concern, we didnt actually hit it, but pulled up on the scene after the fact.

I was just amazed at how big the hog was and thought it was a cow that had gotten out of the fence.

The splat in the road was pretty big, so what ever hit it must have had to be towed away:Wow1:

I posted a blog entry on the Expo here. There were so many people I wanted to say HI to, but didn't get the chance. (Pat Bonish comes to mind - I was within feet of you on several occassions, but either it was in a classroom (no talking) or we were both on our way somewhere. . . there were lots of you, Pat is just one example.)

Chris, I know what you mean and I too meant to introduce myself and talk with you. On a few different occasions I was on my way to see you and would either get sidetracked or get stopped by someone else that wanted to talk.

Those I did get a chance to talk with, it was great to finally meet everyone face to face.

I also forgot on multiple occassions to take a photo of the person I was talking with so I could either talk about it on the blog and post a photo to go with the name, or just to be able to use on here for future reference.

Oh well, I guess it just means next time there is a big gathering like this, well have to get together

I'm another one who was looking forward to meeting you. I was just down there on Friday and I kept asking folks where you were. I went by you trailer but you were out and about.

Maybe next year. :)

We, just arrived back to Evergreen this evening. Wow, what a great event! I too didn't really feel like I got to really check out all of the vehicles in close detail. I think that was due mostly in part to all the great people I met. We are just finishing up the 4th video but in the meantime....

Here are our 2nd and 3rd video installments of our trip to Overland Expo.
