Man please tell me this is in the works or has made some progress. I’ve had a Thing for a few years now and have been wanting to build something just like your plans. Even though there’s not any overlanding/public land area in north mississippi. I just have always thought it would be cool to have an unsuspecting Volkswagen out performing or keeping up with some of the new $50,000 or even higher dollar rigs out there.
