Overlander Ridge - rugger RV or expedition vehicle?

Thoughts?

It looks like they built an RV on top of a 4x4, lifted E-series. They mention insulated walls but no mention of them being composite.
Looks interesting.

Looks like they are made by the same company that manufactures the scout and adventurer rental rvs

Nice catch, thx for posting. Pricing seems reasonable ATC.

Years ago, a small @ 19’ RWD E series class C with a similar floor plan called the Elite (if IIRC) was sold in the US. It was a smidge slimmer than this current rig. I couldn’t find a picture online to share with you tho.

Perhaps the best feature with both of these campers is the roomy rear dinette surrounded by three windows. When you’re camped in scenic location, you actually can enjoy a great view in almost every direction.

Too many of the smaller campers today don’t have enough windows. To me that’s always been a problematic short coming of something you intend to use to camp in the wilds in the midst of beautiful country.

Finely,

It looks like ALP got tired of US customers complaining about not wanting to go to Canada to buy used Fraserway 19rd & 19rk and bring them back thru US CBP. My 2011 19rk has been a good unit with about 270K mi. on it so far...

Yeah that rear dinette with all those windows would be sweet for morning coffee with a view, but 26 gallons of water does seem pretty limiting for longer trips.

Seems 19' class Cs on the E350 are becoming more readily available than they were for awhile. Bummer Ford doesn't provide 4WD as an option.

Didn't happen 20 years ago and it certainly isn't going to happen now.

I'm assuming these are Quigley conversions?

My only hope for this rig is that it isn't built in Indiana where the rest of the white boxes are but I don't have high hopes.

The realistically sized sink is a plus but I can't believe they are still using old school HVAC like that loud, power hog 13,500 rooftop AC. Probably a standard propane furnace as well.

These guys build rental class C for Fraserway so they are geared for generic RV supplier stuff. They are eastern ish WA state but still build to generic Indiana quality. Good for the price but not great. I do wish they'd bring back the F550 model they had. It was a decent mix of RV space + overlander capabilities.
