Alright all....coming back to the [hank hill voice]Propex and propex accessories[/hank hill voice]...

I've got the propex test fitted in the actual truck, and my original plan had been to have a project box that I could attach the hoses too, and unfurl the hose, stored in the project box, when I need to camp. After thinking about it, and wriggling around under the truck, this isn't the way.

I'm now using a Harbor Freight Apache box to keep the 2-stage regulator clean, but need to figure out how/where to mount the regulator and apache box.

Looking at a QD connect, but my main goal is to keep the number of connections to a minimum inside the cabin of the camper.

I mounted the regulator to a piece of 90* aluminum that Jay provided a while back for the awning install.

And in the Apache box:

What is the collective thought of mounting the box here, clearing the door, and having the hoses run through the camper shell itself.

Please post your pics/thoughts.

Thanks

To add to the questions too....for those running a propane heater, are you running a solenoid too, or no? Seems to be a 50/50 opinion on the need to run one.

I considered a solenoid, but ultimately didn’t feel like it was necessary. I added a propane/Carbon monoxide detector to alert me if there’s a leak in my system, and manually shut the tank off when it isn’t in use.

What did you end up using for your cabinet plywood? Thanks Jeff
1/2” Baltic Birch for the cabinet faces and seats, and drawers, and 1/4 for drawer bottoms and internal dividers. This was all wrapped around a complex extruded aluminum substructure

The only connection in the camper itself is at the heater, so I'll be mindful of that. And I will def get the detectors too. Appreciate the feedback/advice!

I have been seeing a lot of pictures where people have their beds pulled out while the top is down. How do you all pop up the camper with the bed out? It would be nice to leave the bed made sometimes but still be able to close or open the camper!

I do this when my wife and I are camping, and when its just me too. I just hop up on the bed there is plenty of room to wriggle up to the push bar, and lift the front.

How did you do your carpet on the walls? Tiles? Single piece of carpet and glue?

Random question but where did you get the cover for the positive pressure vent? Looks super clean. I’ve been looking for something similar. Thanks

Decided to go for an underbody mount; really dont like stuff hanging off the side of the camper.

I installed some rivnuts to the bed, and I'll be able to access the regulator and connection if I need to replace any of them. All off the shelf stuff, so should be able to source parts from any ol hardware store.

What they said?!?!
When I purchased .....it was called "Cabin Hatch/Vent Trim Kit" @ West Marine. Pic of my order included below.

Doesn't seem to allow you to select as drop down currently @ West Marine. No pics on West Marine, it actually looks like the image I stole fm some random internet site copied below. Hack saw to appropriate depth, plasti dip.
