Water clarity was great that day. Was able to watch the rock fish 25-35 feet below us take notice and attack our lures. Rare to see this in Oregon.

New River (WV)

I miss the New. It was my first white water experience. I especially like running Greyhound Bus Stopper all the way river right, such a cool slot above that never ending little whirlpool to China.

Oh yeah, and we don't have warm water in Washington outside of the hot tub. I really miss that.

Hi Andreas
You havent heard of Georgian Bay in Ontario....the Mink/McCoy Islands and the Philip Edward Island ..paddling paradise east side of Canada's great lakes.

Both certainly are world class paddling regions, but you're right; people don't often realize how much shoreline is contained within Georgian Bay and that it is infact part of the Niagra Escarpment that creates quite a dramatic shoreline. I've spent a bit of time paddling Tobermory and south toward Owen Sound 15-20 yrs ago. Amazing looking down into the water and being able to see house sized rocks 30 ft below the surface.

I thought the Fuetaleafu was damned up before then. I am thinking of something else, or a different section?
