Not the typical panorama, picture taken inside of a cave.

This is of the Split Rock portion of the emigrant trails across Wyoming. On this side of the river are a few two tracks which were used by the settlers as they moved west. Many portions of the trails are drivable, but get land owner permission as most cross private lands. Split rock is the tallest peak in the background behind the river. The split is visible from the east, while the photo was taken from south of it.

In the bottom lands there is a SUV spec. There is also a car on the highway. The highway on both the far right and left edges of the pano is the same road. It is a near 360 view from on the big rock at the historic site off of WY hwy 287.

Zoom in image of the area with the Sweetwater River, trails and SUV spec.

I've been a long time lurker and I love this section of the board so I couldn't help but share. I'm sure there is a way to even out the saturation in the sky across the three shots, but I just haven't had time to really dig into it yet. This was taken on top of Genoa Peak in Lake Tahoe facing towards the east -- I believe that area is called Carson Valley in Nevada, but I'm not entirely sure. Taken on a camping trip and there is a nice 4WD road that leads to the peak with a nice climb at the end :smiley_drive:. Then you have to scramble up the loose rocky peak by foot to get to the very top. I am always impressed by eastern slope of the sierra nevadas - very dramatic drop into Nevada.
