Is that fog or a storm blowing in? Cool shot, I'd love to go to Jordan.
It was at the end of a big storm, and this is the start of a new one. soon after this it started to rain.
There is a big drop in altitude from 800m in Jerusalem to -400 m(yes, minus 400 meters below sea level) at the shore in less than 15km, which leads to a very strong acceleration of the wind and turbulences.

the picture was taken from west to east.

Beautiful image. I would never think of stitching images for this shot. :confused:

What lens did you use and what motivated you to decide to stitch multiple images to end up with this?

BTW I love this image so I am asking only to improve my options. :sombrero:

28mm wide end of my cheapo zoom. Sometimes there is no where to back up so you do the next best thing to owning a wide angle lens. Stitch what you can get from where you are.

Here's a six shot panorama from the Prentice Cooper State Forest about 1/2 hour from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee
