usually when someone says something like "ultra rare" it means they are asking waaay too much for it.

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
It is still quite rare, the 5 speeds are very hard to find... Especially the 5 speed part time 4WDs (this one looks like its full time). Very neat truck, you can get it for about $15G into Canada so it is overpriced. I've also driven one with an auto, they boogie :) I miss the days when our dollar was strong. I was strongly considering one of these as my parents live in Montreal and living here with Quebec plates. It would be my second Canadian cruiser in the US...

Demand is wicked over there for cruisers, but sure digging this one available now for 650,000 yen (~$6500 CND) with a custom bed in the back.

That was selling at this Tuesdays (Monday night here) auctions in Japan, where you can register to bid. You still need to add; $1500 for Roro shipping, $1000 for brokerage and custom, and what ever is required for compliance. Also a vehicle specific list of mechanical items should be look at; though they can arrive with low millage and no rust, they may have been mechanically neglected for quite a few years.

The first of my two imports, now for sale, had just 38,000km on it and really looked as good as new. Yet fuel lines and coolant hoses, plus tires looked like they sat for many a year. Changed them all.

Cheers

On iH8mud.com i have used a lot of links to find Canadian importers of JDM Cruisers.
They have a pretty good list of them. And some are reliable, some, not so much... But at least the guys will tell you who is ok, and who you should stay away from. ;)

EDIT: The price is pretty high for a TLC that is still in Japan, but that is the first one i've seen as a manual tranny.
