No, this is me just testing. I've gotten some great deals this year that has saved me thousands and this goes for the Coopers. Also, since I am currently working at an automotive shop I am taking full advantage of that. When we move back to CT this summer I know I will not work at one and I will be very limited as far as a garage or place to work on the truck.

Definitely, I'm gonna be sad when I have to leave my highschool shop. I get to use whatever I want in there. Plasma, mig, lift, tire machine :D (too bad I don't have any extra sets of tires laying around   )

It's super handy and way cheaper!
I'm hoping to get my teacher help me fab up some skids next year, got the plans from a guy on TN.

I'm finishing up a light bar tomorrow and got my hellas ordered last night. Speakig of... I was wondering what happened. I guess I'll have to watch them!

I mean, I saw nothing... la la la la la:friday:

Well since everyone has noticed my melted light covers I just ordered some clear covers for them. It bugs me knowing that they were melted.

Just curious as to if you have perceived any power/acceleration loss with those taller tires. It would be interesting to know how you gas mileage is after a few tanks too. They sure look nice on your truck.

I drove around last night to see how they handled on hills, highway, etc and I could barely tell there was any power loss. MPG on the other hand I don't know. I will find out this weekend when we head over to Bend for a few hours.

Oh, one more thing, how much lift do you now have on your front coilovers?

I left it as they came from Camburg...2.5 is what I believe they are now setting them at when they ship them.

Well we now have 100 miles and 4 days on the tires. There is a loss in MPG, but it's not that terrible. Same situation for power loss.

Here is a pic from today. Every weekend we are either taking a few hours, a day or a weekend to see something in Oregon before we leave. Here's from today around the Cottage Grove Covered Bridge Tour Route. This covered bridge is not as old as the ones from where I am from, but it is still interesting.

That's about it for modifications and additions at this time. In just over two months time we will be heading back to New England.

John Day Fossil Beds- Painted Hills Unit. Oregon. Turned out to be our favorite part of this move/trip

Crater's of the Moon, Idaho

Mount Washington, NH.

All of these were taken during the move.

Well, we have been in Connecticut for 3 months now, had our wedding, and now waiting for our honeymoon to come. In the mean time, 7wt, Oceangirl, and I have been getting out a lot. Before we hit the road today. 7wt and I decided to raise the rear differential breather. My first mod since the move. Well I should say he really did it. I was preoccupied with dealing with the power outage and getting Jenn out of bed.

Then we went out to some unmaintained roads near where we live.

Thanks man! :jumping:

At first I did not like the new Tacomas, but the more I saw them on the road, the more I realized that they were actually pretty cool. I would never trade down to a pre-05 now that I have this. The new Tacomas have proven there just as off-road capable as the old one, minus the width of course.

After seeing Phil's truck several times now I will say that it's a very well built machine. Nothing is on it that doesn't have a use and it's a sharp looking ride to boot. The thing functions really well, I look forward to helping him get it dirty from time to time.

Right now modifications and additions must be kept to what I can build, so the next few weekends I will be spending plenty of hours working on my "super secret" plans....

Here a some new equipment additions.

With my suspension and tires, the stock Toyota jack is just too small for normal tire changes. I chose to dig up a Disco I jack due to its height and low cost compared to aftermarkets of similar design. I shot Will Tillery at www.roverguy.com an email, $32 and a week later I had my jack.

It fits nicely on top of my high lift base for extra height.

My newest toy came today. We had a belated wedding present of our choice and I thought it would be best to ditch the Co2 tank and buy an air compressor. No place would fill the tank for me around here and with winter the odds of it properly working were slim to none. After reading the reviews in Overland Journal I decided the best compressor for me would be the Viair 450P-A. It's major selling point for me was it's incredible low noise and low cost compared to some others. It may not be the fastest compressor, but the pro's seem to out way the con's.

At lunch time today I opened it up and put it through testing. Works perfect for me.
