Great color, good positioning, but too dark. I'd crank up the Brightness a bit and tone down the vignetting... Also, being very picky now, themushrooms are a bit of a turn off
Is there a reason you blurred out the logo on the Spork? Just wondering because my eye goes to the logo, but I cant make it out, so I look at it even more.
I might clone it out completely rather than blur it, or just up the DOF so it's in focus
Just my thoughts
Are the mushrooms a turn off because you don't like mushrooms, or because they do not look appetizing?
Both
GREAT thread by the way! Loving the info so far...plus the shots are quite cool to see too.
I've been thinking over some of the tips and spent a while messing with some pics from up in the Gila Forest (Southern New Mexico) and came up with this:
This one had me thinking about what Photog mentioned with walling off the viewer and allowing them to step into the picture...I kind of liked the mix of both when I saw the grass all around me.

I tried for a while with this one but, I think the original might have just been too dark for me to really pop out the color in an interesting way.

These were taken while camping in eastern AZ, was wondering what you guys thought of them and what you would suggest to make them better.
Thanks for the input!!!

I thing the vignetting on the 1st one is too much. I'd tone it down a bit and it would be a stellar image
2nd one is great
I was wondering exactly where in Eastern Arizona that is though? I'm always in search of lakes and trees...I have a kayak and living in the desert makes it interesting
That is on Lake Chevlon, about 50mi north of Payson. Google find's it just fine, though their map isn't the best for the roads in the area (but will give you an idea of where it is and how to get there). That site is on the south end of the lake, it's about a 1/4mi walk from the parking area down to the lake.
