Will post follow up asap. Plenty of guys I ride with use these and have given good feedback so...we'll see.. Less $ than the cost of materials to make my own. Plan to add a securing arm like in the expo link, as to not rely solely on straps.

Man, this reminds me I have to figure out what I'm doing this year. I have a hitch mounted rack for my Discovery, but always found it a bit of a pain to use. The hitch was quite high off the ground, and the ramp was too short resulting in a near 45° ramp angle.

But now that I've built a new rear bumper and swing-away tire carrier, I don't even think the bike will fit anymore because of the tire being further away from the door than before. I'd somehow have to extend the rack even further back. And already the rack had a lot of leverage on the back of the truck, and would have even more now. Just seems it would be a bit too much. Might have to stick to trailers for now.

LOVE the TDR! Those things were so cool.

Completely off topic, but do the solar panels above the windshield suck wind? That would be a pretty good idea as they would act like a visor, but I'd be worried they might break due to wind shear
