Anyway, I wheel it like I do because none of us know when our time is up, and (for me) life is about having as much fun as possible. Plus, what else am I to do with it, keep it immaculate and never drive it? LOL...nobody else will ever own it so I might as well see what it can do!

I need to remind myself of this constantly. It it a constant struggle in my head to balance between keeping things nice and using them as intended. As a small kid I used to smash my Hotwheels with my dads hammer if they got scratched. There are so many build threads where people build the perfect rig but never use them.

I don't like the way my van is set up, but that's the way it came. When I raced motocross, my friend/sponsor let me and his son use this van for racing all over the country. He paid to have it converted so it was comfortable for long trips (and so his wife would like it). His son and I were best friends but he passed away. His dad wanted me to have the van as it held a lot sentimental value for both of us.

Awesome, and this is not a word I've ever typed on a forum before. Your story and your van are remarkable.

Ridge your van looks great. A simple and versatile interior is good.
I just gutted my van and have a blank slate to work with.

I really like the Pack Rat drawer. I see Weather Gard makes a universal slider that you can build on...I might go that route.

2006 Sprinter

Here we go. This has been a fun thread. My first post. I built out a 2006 sprinter. Two photo albums. One of the build and one with some finished pics.

Van Life! Love my 2003 Dodge Van Dreamy

We went on the road for three months through the Northwest, two dogs and one cat. Yep, it was pretty amazing. This is the camper as loved this summer. I'm changing it around a little bit inside but not really. I like the simplicity.

Being a writer, I took tons of notes, talked to folks met along the way, and then just finished and published a travelogue this month. This is the main link to http://a.co/5dSzUYdthe book. It's also on the Amazon Giveaway app. Have a look as I put out a bunch for people to get free copies!

Thanks, s

Just picked this one up today.

It's a very clean 1997 E-350 15 passenger, V10 with 69k miles. Unfortunately, it's Econoline white, but I have a plans for a few accents to break it up. I'll be building a mild camping rig so my son and I can really enjoy it.

Embrace the church van white! Haha. Looks like a clean van. So funny to see guys on expo 13+ years later, that I recognize from ranger and explorer forums.

Planning a 4x4 kit, or something from camburg etc?

That's a nice van. Looks like it was barely used.
Thanks! Yeah, he said it was used for family trips. Seems it could be true.

I don't really mind the white, but I'd rather it be silver or even maroon.

I had the younger brother (2004 v10) 10 years ago that I was going to convert to 4x4, but never started it before it was sold.
Pictures of the explorer in that ^^ thread, too. :)

I plan to sell all of that stuff (front Ujoint kit, leaf springs, axles, wheels and [roller] tires), and just put enough lift (~4") for 33s and a selectable locker on this one. I'll be starting a thread, soon.
