I like CCV's design a lot, but the lack of communication and vague pricing has put me off for now. It's surprising that so many companies have horrid websites these days. I get it, they're fabricators, not web developers, but I'm surprised they can't see how a decent website will save them and their customers money and frustration. For less than $1000, they could have a clean, informative website with prices, options, FAQs, and better organized info. This is even more important when you factor in the fact that they don't respond via email or phone calls. Sorry to go off on CCV, I really like what they're doing for the van world, and their quality has a great reputation, but I've been frustrated. For 2 weeks I was ready to put money down, VISA in hand, but I couldn't even get through to get my money down. Oh well.
For now I'll save my money and hope something economical comes along. In the meantime I'll be building a set of roller drawers and a sleeping platform inside the van.
I've built over 20 rigs, and my van has cost more than twice as much as any other rig I've built. Once you've thrown a good 4x4 conversion, suspension, bumpers, and a pop top, you're easily in $20k, not including the purchase price of the vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I love my van, but this stuff adds up faster than most other vehicles. But there's a good reason: vans ROCK. I've been so happy with mine.
