hope you dont mind :)
just for grins about one minute in PS
small thing quick dodge on the eyes and dark areas under eyes and a quick burn just to bring the focus in a bit on subject
I use a layer with curve and mask
then just a bit of contrast and pop

not a fan of the china doll skin look some do ? but thats me :)

I like edits to just bring out what is their subtlety without being to in your face

again this was just a super quick sometimes showing less than a minute in PS can do quite a bit once you get the grasp of it also if you just did a action on the whole thing ? it would not be the same

masking and layers if she enjoys it and moves forward learning PS can be a good thing

to me PS is like dodging and burning in darkoom days to enhance the image :) you can also radically change it but enhancing a image is the start :)

Missed this reply...don't mind at all. Always enjoy the good tip...however I can't see the edited pic. :bike_rider:

Since this was for a class, that pic was directly from the camera...just cropped for and 8x10.

Honu

lost on the mainland
strange why it was gone ?
put it back up again :)

Kinda sorta came out of "retirement" for some good friends over the weekend. Most fun I've had shooting a wedding in a long time and it also made me realize how much I miss it.

John, the girl standing in the background, with exactly that pose, really is strong. I don't have any graphic tools on the is current computer, but I tried cropping it to show you what I mean:

Yeah that's my favorite element of the photo. I love shooting candid photos of people because of poses like that.

Couple of recent shoots

Model was lying on the rocks about 10' below me with natural light used to light her. Canon 5D MarkII with a 24-70mm lens used

Model was standing about 20' in front of me so I'd be zoomed in a bit which would throw the background out of focus. Natural light used with a bit of fill bounced from a reflector being held by my wife about 10' in front of the model. Shot with a Canon 30D with a 70-200mm lens

Couple that hired me for their engagement announcements. Shot on a local island with late afternoon light used. Canon 5D with a 70-200mm lens

Then to get them laughing and lighten the mood, you always have to have any model or models bust out the Zoolander "Blue Steel" pose during EVERY photoshoot...LOL

I hope you got the photos of that first model the way she wanted them. She looks like she could tear you up if she was not happy. :Wow1:

Nice shots. :sombrero:

HAHA!! She had just taken 1st place in the regional Miss Fitness award and wanted to award herself with some nice shots because she wasnt sure if she was going to keep competing.

Now she's decided to continue and she's working towards the Nationals.

Just goes to show you that you shouldnt be complaining about not having enough time to stay in shape. She has two young kids, she's a doctor with her own business and still finds time to work out 7 days a week to stay in that good of shape!

I think she's about as close as you can get to having a perfect body without being overly muscular. If she's not pumped up, she just looks like she's in perfect shape unlike the body builder girls who always look roided out.

She told us she's having trouble finding competitions that she can enter that are all natural. I give her total respect for being that fit and being 100% natural.

I agree with you on that one. Don't want to touch any roids and you have to respect her dedication to achieve the level of fitness she has. :victory:
