I love this path, but the last time I was there was before they removed the wild horses. My wrangler has been in pieces for a few years now, so haven't been up there in a while. Some day I'll get back up there. Now I'll have to go dig out the pics from the last time I was there.

I almost never need to haul two people in the back of my jeep, but sometimes need to carry one and my small dog. The stock back seat takes up most of the storage space and doesn't really give the passenger much leg room. I took this seat out of a Mitsubishi Montero and built my own bracket to mount it to the jeep fender well, it bolts down to the stock seat mounts on the right side and through to top of the wheel well to a backing plate. The seat is much thinner than the stock one so even though I mounted it a little farther back for leg room, I didn't really lose much space behind it and gained all the storage to the side. Then I built the platform for the dog med to go on, it also bolts to the stock seat mounts and is just big enough for my ice chest to fit underneath. Both fold up out of the way so that I don't have to remove anything or plan ahead when I want to carry something large in the back. If I ever need to put two people in the back, I can unbolt this setup and bolt the stock seat quick release mounts right back in

Wow that rear rumble seat is ingenious. Is there a more detailed write up online somewhere? What year was the Mitsubishi Montero? Is there room for two side by side? Or just the one?

Ok here is my family's jeeps.
Red YJ is Jester; mine
Black ZJ is Lady; wife's
Blue XJ is BamBam; brothers
Black WJ is Princess; moms
Silver XJ is Trigger; sister n laws
Red freightliner was my fathers. He's since retired, and I'm trying to get him into an FC170.

Here's where it starts in my build thread, http://norcal-jeeps.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=88&start=290 There's a few more details in there. It's out of a 1995 Montero, both seats won't fit side by side but I was looking to do a three seater with a platform anyways so that didn't matter to me. I wish I could have found one with a black interior.

Here is my old LJ. I sold it and bought a '10 Power Wagon. I miss the Jeep every day. Fortunately I picked up a '52 Willys to fill the Jeep void.

Well, you can always see if they make aftermarket seat covers for the Mitsubishi. If not, find a local upholstery shop. They should be able to change it over to black.

I think I recognize this jeep. Once belonged to Chris Denison in MD?
