Post Pic's of your Jeep

Thanks! It's a total mutt, with 2A and 3A parts and a Studebaker 185ci (3.0L) straight six engine. The passenger side toolbox has been replaced with a second 10-gallon fuel tank, and a toggle on the dash allows me to choose which tank it feeds from. Now that it's in running shape (having been rebuilt from end to end), I can start playing with some of the modifications I've had in mind sinc eI first got it as a project. I want to add a fresh water tank inside one of the rear body corners, and possible a small propane tank in the other. I have a glove box to install to hold an iPad or other tablet for a GPS system, and I'll be adding an inverter for a plug-in power source.

Oh, and a pintle mount for a Browning just for kicks. :)

My ultimate goal is to be able to take it to a place like Moab or Canyon de Chelly for a week or so at a time, camping out of it and cruising around back trails (minus the gun, though). My grandfather and a friend did something pretty similar with a 2A in Mexico for a month or more back in the 50s.

Love seeing photos from Silver Lake (grew up in Fremont and spent summers in Pentwater/Ludington area). Used to go on the MacWoods rides when I was a kid, then in my XJ once I had my own 4x4. I also used to kiteboard at the lighthouse every chance I got, love that area!

That Wagoneer looks great BTW!

Thanks!
yeah it is beautiful up there. Sadly they have closed most of the trails and a huge part of the dunes. But definitly trying to enjoy what we have while we have it.

Sorry to hear that! I was in Pentwater for a week this summer, but as the weather was so nice, no force in this world could pull me away from the beach (kiteboarding on that freshwater ocean is a close to heaven as I can get). Needless to say, we never got to Silver Lake on that trip.

How did you ever find such a sweet vintage Jeep in that rust belt?

lovin the setup. key off to camping=1minute. camping to rolling=10 min. the stock rubi is very impressive offroad and on. i think im gonna go with an aev lift and bigger meats but so far i am leary of mods in general due to driveshaft/exhaust probs. nuthin like stock for reliability!!

I previously had a JK on 40"s and all built up---- this latest one (2011) I did 35"s on stock wheels with no suspension lift (besides level spacer)--just trimmed fenders/bumpers and added a 1.75" coil spacer leveler in the front. Works well! And I saved alot of $ !

New windows for the jeep ambulance M725

My jeep M725 camper project is slowly moving forward. I added two Seitz-Dometic windows:

My 99 TJ

My first post on this forum. My wife and I bought this in January and we love it. We really want to get into doing some expedition type stuff in it.

Here are a few of mine. Pics of Canoe are years back, stock with new Cooper STT's. Most recent has the ARB, only now it has a winch and lights

Looks great. I look everyday on CL for an ARB Bull Bar... yours looks good!

I picked mine up for $300. Guy had a roll over and was parting his out. Then I found a M8000 about a month later for $300. Pretty good scores. I looked through your xj page, great pics....makes me want a white one!
