G'day gents!

Have been on this site for years with my adventure van... but recently added a jeep to the garage :friday:

How are the ram balls attached to the Vector dock?

X2, how are these attached to the Vector bar?

My guess is hole and press nut or simply treads straight in the tube wall. ??

^ that's one way… go to rammount.com… There are many different attachments that work just fine with the vector bar that do not require any drilling

I use the same type set up

I used the traditional "bar clamps" until I determined where I wanted the balls. The bar clamps are much more cumbersome/cluttered - but they come in a variety of styles .
(they are also much more versatile because you can move them at any time).

I went with the clean drilled balls so that when I remove items it looks much tidier. YMMV. :friday:

Thanks. I was wondering how you got the drill bit to go in at a 90-degree. My OCD wouldn't accept anything less than that. Looks good!!

... and guess I need to get a drill press... lol. I've always wanted one anyway.

Thanks, now that the kids are getting older the plan is to do more expo and less campgrounds/rock crawling.

Recently rebuilt the Jeep for better on road use and just started a mini trailer build to help w storage.
