wright poly mat

Hi Doug the wright mat is great, i ordered direct from the manufacturer £255 delivered for the 5 piece kit.
he also told me they did a black version so thats what i opted for, its not dashboard black but black enough to be different if you know what i mean.

you wont be popular with your postie though the box weighed in @ 55Kgs i think.

it has also killed lots noise though thats relative due to the soft top.

ps i'm keeping the bonnet. ;-)

regards all

Gren,
No postie here. My parcels from the UK are 40ft long and require cranes. Have one loading up in Maidenhead @ Berkshire LR soon and want one of these-also in black. Had a container leave from Foleys Tuesday and kind of forgot I wanted one of these until I saw your pictures. Great job on a total rebuild. Hows the 300 with the auto ? You need to post some more pictures of this out in the Welsh countryside.
Cheers

Bumper worked out really well on the trail. Tons of clearance, took a few hits with no damage and it drags without getting hung up. Here it is "clean" with the mudflaps and hitch removed.

I'm really getting disheartened with the skinnies. I'm constantly getting stuff jammed up in the rim. Here, this one is stuffed full of wood after having to winch the truck out of a mud hole that stupid people have been throwing logs into trying to make it passable.

How much are you airing down? that wood looks like its pushing your bead in from the rim. i dont think this has much to do with skinny tires other than the skinnies are way too skinny for the rims you are running. what size are they?

You should definitely reconize these other military 4x4's in the line with the Rover:)

That was at 20 psi, not that low. I had to change one of the other wheels on the trail already because the rim got packed with dirt and it was leaking too. Yes, that's wood that is packed between the wheel and tire.

That's a 245/75/16. I'm not sure how wide the rims are, I think 7 or 8"? It's just a factory alloy. I agree that I think narrower rims would help, but I haven't seen narrower rims that would fit the truck. It probably needs a 6".
