Only because you can't see the rot and rust in the first photo… The patina on the body was sublime - the chassis however was swiss cheese, and the doors were little more than powdered metal.

Mortimer after new tires (265/65-18 BFG AT KO2s) and his first off road trip at Rausch Creek park in PA. Btw, ran part of trip at 15psi which we determined was too low. Will try 18-20 next time. second shot here was a close call on tires only about 350 miles old.
