Thanks Kellymoe! This is my old d90. Sold it before the market tanked. Saving my pennies for Business school, so definitely could not keep two, and the RRC won out in pretty much every aspect (and my wife can actually drive it!)

Nice! The RRC is just as capable if not more so than the D90. The RRC, IMO, is the best off road vehicle Land Rover ever produced. Not just in capability but in usable storage space and, comfort, mechanical simplicity and comfort. One of these days I'll get another Classic.

I just got done restoring a 95 RRC that my wife is now driving as a DD, they are great trucks for sure...even better with a LT230 bolted in:victory:

I had a 1988 classic for a few years but sold it to help pay for the 130. Great truck even though it's underpowered. The LT230 is a great addition to any post 88 classic.

what's with the snorkel hole?
I think you nailed it chief... ;)

Can anyone here answer me this one question: Was there ever a FACTORY 2-DOOR RRC???

I've seen the Youtube vids of that one baby blue one that was entered by the Father/Son duo from OZ in like the RFC or something... That thing was a BEAST. But, were they ever offered like that from the factory????

Cheers

Check your Rover History - 2-door Range Rovers were all the factory built from its introduction in 1970 until the early 1980's. There were some conversion 4-doors built earlier by Monteverdi but the factory version didn't come out until 1981. The last 2-door was built on January 11, 1994. They were never officially exported to the USA but a number were brought over during the mid-1980's by private importers.

what's with the snorkel hole?

When I first bought it, the previous owner had halfa$$ installed a Safari snorkel. It had the outside stuff, but was rigged up under the hood and I didn't like the way it was done. Yanked it off and installed a factory airbox, new fender is in the works.

this IS my Land Rover history source HAHAHAHAHA

Cool, that answers my question perfectly. I had thought that the few 2DR RRC's I'd seen were custom conversions. I'd never heard of converting a 2dr to 4dr. cool and thanks for the history lesson.

I was only implying that the answer to your Query was pretty much summed up in your question. He clearly HAD a snorkel but now doesn't... Wasn't trying to give you a bad time :D
