I lined it (temporary) with rubber hallway carpeting and it did a good job for a couple of (temporary) years

Any recommendations on where to buy a custom cut rubber mat?
Maybe find an aftermarket mat for something like a Suburban or Expedition or Excursion that you can cut down for an exact fit to your vehicle. Or get a mat for a full-size pickup and cut that down to fit. Make one cardboard template for the shock towers (or whatever those black things are) and just flip it side to side if the floor is symmetrical. You can stick the mat down with 3M spray adhesive, something like 3M 77.

Here's mine that I recently completed. All inspiration from this site - particularly this thread. After lots of pinteresting, and gawking here through *all the pages in this thread, I set out to make my own. Here is the (largely) finished result:

These look great! What kind of finish is on them? How's the durability of the finish been?

Can anyone recommend a drawer slide/ball bearing for a 5 foot long drawer?
Check with Woodworkers' Supply. They should have it or know where to get it. If you want real HD, put two HD glides on each side. If WS can't help, call Ainley Kennels in Iowa. They built my aluminum/stainless drawer with a long HD glide and it works like a champ.

Are you in anyway attaching these drawes to the floor? If so, how?

Perso, my drawer set-up is not complete yet, but everything heavy or less is always some how tight-up to the floor of the jeep or trailer, with tie down strap and florr ancher at the least. I like to be able to reorganized for traveling mode or dd mode. This is why I prefer the boxy type of storage, drwaer module. And even thos jave ancor point on them so if I throw stuff over, I can tie those too.

Has anybody built storage drawers and incorporating aftermarket stereo equipment (subs, amps). I have seen many cool builds and lots of inspiration but I don't want to give up storage for sound.

I have a pair of 8" subs built into my boxes. Left side drawer is 10" shorter and made of 1/2" ply and has lighter duty slides to hold camping cooking stuff. Right side drawer is full depth with the big daddy 500 lb locking slides for tools and recovery gear.

My drawer system. Built from 3/4 birch ply that I had lying around. A little heavy, but they work well. Kitchen stuff is in the left drawer so it doesn't interfere with the table.
