How do you attach the table to the drawer?

I needed a storage system/ sleeping platform for a trip I am taking in a few weeks, so I threw this puppy together. The name of the game was simplicity and functionality.

The platform was built to house these three Plano storage containers:



Here is a side shot showing the front of the platform that is on a hinge. It also has the sleeping extension in place.

The hinge really makes getting my cooler, and all of the other gear out really trouble free. I'm a fan so far.

I used flush picture hanging hardware and some L brackets that slide into them. Not sure exactly what they are called but picked them up at the local hardware store.

I like the concept of this foldable bed. I am planning to do a custom build with a frame for storing Dewalt boxes at the bottom and the foldable bed at the top.

They just attach to your standard L-track. I got the L-tracks from us cargo control.

Thank you all for your ideas and inspiration and tips... Here is my first drawer system.. I say first because I plan to build something better in the future My Snug Top Rebel has been ordered, hopefully it will be on this week!





I laser engraved the end of the drawers with an aztec pattern and laser cut the words which were painted black and attached to the drawers with wood glue.



There are 4 pull up compartments on the side that I attached with piano hinges.



Some lessons I learned:
1) Shop around for wood... I found some really nicely finished 3/4" plywood at Home Depot on sale for about $3 more than the construction grade stuff I bought at Lowes
2) For the auto carpet, I used contact cement. Really great stuff but I ended up going back to the hardware store twice to buy more... Get at least 4 or 5 bottles for the entire bed

Rebuilding my bed set-up. Had the Jobox drawer at the end of the bed towards the tailgate. Recently acquired a bed slide for a $100 and relocated the drawer to the top of the bed slide. Going over ideas on how I want to set-up the rest of the storage/drawers. I plan on building some storage to the sides of the bed slide.
