In order from when I got the truck for free from a relative (I had to do an engine swap) Reluctantly even my wife enjoys the vehicle more than she would like to admit
The first 5 photos were taken near Flagstaff, Arizona and the last 3 near Sierra Vista, Arizona

Our Monty has become my wife's favorite vehicle to ride in, those heated leather seats sure do feel nice in the winter.

Recently I took a day trip up to Big Bear Lake in CA. "the rim of the world" is a nice little drive that loops in and out of san bernardino. The 99 montero is in need of a tune up and has 4.27 gears, previously it had 33" tires and was getting around 14mpg mixed (offroading, city and highway) after going to Yokohama Geolander 31's, even with a lot of steep grade climbing between 1000-7000 feet it immediately jumped up to 17-18mpg (including city and off road). After a tune up it will get better. I'll keep it on 31's until I can put 4.90's in. Then I think I'll step to 33's as this truck wont need big tires and the gears will make it nice for group camping trips, hauling all the people and gear.

Did you base the mpg just on what you saw on the odometer or did you add back 10% to make up for the difference in the tire size?
