I'm loving the pics put up here lately, especially the snow,I've not seen proper snow in years! And mountains,i've never seen an actual mountain range, just what we have here, which are only technically "mountains"

Heres some from our outing yesterday,it was a good spin, first one in ages too.

I pressed the dreaded HDR button on this because the first time I uploaded it to photobucket it was way under exposed. The SWB isn't great at inclines if i'm honest

@ LaOutbackTrail:

Thanks,

the wheels are 16x8's but I don't know what backspacing they got...
The truck has a OME 1.25 ~ 2 inch suspension lift: Old Man Emu shocks, springs and torsion bars, no body lift.

I can't recall if yours is gas or diesel, and which gears are you running?

@ jeep-N-montero

It's a 3000 cc V6 24V gas engine and I'm still running stock gears.
Would like to change but here in Taiwan all is difficult to source and expert mechanics hard to find.

Trying to do it by myself would end in disaster and complete havoc.....

Cheers, Chris

Played some more in the dunes today, near Afton Canyon. Ton's of fun. Scared myself a bit, but the Montero does dunes quite well on 33" BFG-KM2's at 18psi

This looked like a great place to camp to get out of the wind...until we noticed the truck-sized chunks of earth that had recently fallen from the roof of the cave!!!

Camping setup and some "artsy" shots:

Just noticed this through the window when I was walking around the truck - would have been awesome if I had more than a cell phone for a camera!

...my rear cargo rack performed flawlessly once again, for any of those wondering. Carlos noted how solid it was when he was behind, noting that it didn't flex at all despite bouncing around on the trail. ;)
