I only have two rows of holes (actually, I just checked and I have the 3 rows, just missing the holes above the wheels). That adhesive was a royal PITA to get off...I'll have to track down some plugs. Any specific tape for the bottom row, any closer pics of the area?

I used some 1 or 1-1/2" wide textured tape I had around. It's not quite non-slip tape, but close.

You have to trim the centers a little to get them to fit snug and stay put.

The biggest challenge is removing the double sided tape that helps hold and seal the panels to the body. Get a 3M Stripe Removal Wheel. You use it with a drill. They are expensive but worth every penny.

You need a heat gun and 3M autotive adhesive remover (recommended when rebadging/de-badging a vehicle). Only $9.00 at your local autozone. Seems its not carried by Kragen/o'reilly. They carry a different $20 3M alternative. :Wow1:

Yeah I used Goof Off and a hell of a lot of elbow grease.....ugh....

Here's some pictures from wheeling this weekend. Just the Yamato and a friend's brand spankin' new 2012 Jeep (sport model). Again ... gotta love the Montero!

The 2wd challenge. Yamato blitzed through it like a proven Dakar warrior, but alas! The Jeep's traction control system definitely hinders all momentum through sand.

Street tires are some of he best tires to use in the sand.

I'd start airing those tires down though. Not only do you get better traction by airing down, it keeps the transmission happy.
