Post your tents

I might as well throw mine into the mix... though it probably won't help anyone with a purchasing decision.

It's made by a company called JamesDowning Inc. :) (homemade)

AutoHome Maggiolina AirLander size medium.
Bought brand new March of 2008.

What do I think of it?
It is the cats meow.
Not a complaint, I dig this tent.
Sleeping up on the roof is much nicer IMO than sleeping on the ground.

I use a few different tents depending on the trip and who I am going with.

I used this Walrus (now bought by MSR) Arc-II it is a great tent that is a true 4 season tent with a bomb-proof fly. The setup/teardown is slow, but otherwise it is WARM and uber quiet in heavy winds. It is showing its age as it has torn the past two times out and it lacks the newer ripstop nylon. I will use it until it is a shreded rag... I love it!

For other adventures that I head out on I like to use my RTT from Mombassa. Its a generation 1 tent and I can't bring myself to give up the room for the new improved versions, this one is HUGE by RTT standards.

We also have a HUGE Coleman family 2 room tent that has treated us well the few times we have used it. It has held up to rain, hail, and winds with some grace... it's no three season tent for sure but it has ample room for 6 people. Its nice on really clear summer days with friends at a park and camp site.

Best tip I ever got for tent camping is to cut a piece of 3mm clear plastic for the INSIDE of the tent that is about 10" too wide and long for the floor. Then put it in first, and you will create a waterproof tub that is truly waterproof. I have used this method with amazing results in the worst downpours! Try it an be amazed.
