pot and pans

Just got my Magma 10pc nesting cookware set and I can confirm it looks and feels high quality and is somewhat heavy. I have a set of Teflon coated MSR cookware that is scratched and flaking beyond repair. That set is on its way to the garbage can this afternoon. Anyway, when I nest all the pots in the Magma set, they still shift and make some noise in there. What are you guys using to keep the pots from banging around? I have the factory foam in there now, but that's not going to last more than one trip offroad.

I cut some squares out of thick felt, to place between the pots. I've got the Teflon coated version and they look like new after thousands of miles and some very rough roads. Certainly no banging around. I don't store the large pan with the set... so I don't know if it would work with it.

Here's a vid for ya (should be live in a few minutes);

Holy crap, it's like a personalized video just for me! Thanks, JeepSwag, that's exactly what I was looking for. Looks like the pan you left off would work just fine with the felt in there. Appreciate the video!

I just went to the chuckbox, and indeed I can rattle my set pretty good :D
It is OK though, I have lots of other stuff in there like the blue enamel coffee cups, silverware, etc that rattle too when the chuckbox is in the rig going down the road.

I did pick up an accessory via Amazon a few weeks back, I got a collapsible colander.
It can sit in the biggest pot or a smaller pot to steam food in, and of coarse you can use it to put noodles in to drain after cooking them.
This colander is pretty big, will hold as much as one I use at home, but it packs down flat, and I can store it in the chuckbox just fine.
The price is the around the same as the Magma stainless steel one they carry that nests inside the set.
It is made by Oxo, here is the link.

Pots washed and dried, felt purchased and cut to fit, oiled with a few drops of cooking oil (per instructions), and these suckers are ready for camp kitchen duty!

Guys, I ordered the Stansport set from Amazon. Quality is great for the price. Honestly, I think quality is better than my older Peak1 and MSR set. For $49 it's a great deal.

we had a bunch of this non slide rubber material we got at costco and cut some circles for our plates to keep them from vibrating around

saw these and thinking could be cool for keeping our nested stuff from rattling
or cut our own out of some material that wont pick up dirt and stuff :)

I picked up a set of these from my local Bed Bath and Beyond and they work great with the Magma nesting cookware. I had the felt in there, which also worked great, but left little fuzzies all over the pots and pans, especially with the oil coated on them.
