Would have just been easier if someone drawed it on the computer and i could've printed it out instead of drawing it on paper...

I was mostly at the testing facility, but also worked at the assembly line for the PB300 and PB600...

Mounted the first track and tuned the drive sprocket today::

I just have to make the missing grousers, cut the real drive sprockets and i should be ready for a test drive tomorrow... :bike_rider:

A snow cats grousers are "square-ish". The tire guides are slightly more rounded, and the square stock Stein has used does have rounded corners so it could work I think. A lot will have to do with the shape of the drive sprocket.

No they are not square at all on the drive side. With no load things look to mesh fine. Under load load is a different story. I like the extended tooth profile but what is going to keep the track from wandering side to side especially when turning?

Snowcat grousers are square that's a fact, doesn't matter if you look at the old Thiokol/LMC or the new Pistenbullys...

The finished drive sprocket will be exactly as wide as the tire guides, so it centers the track exactly like the tires do...

I'm not sure how much track work you have done, but I can assure you every grouser made for Kässborher , Prinoth, Bombardier, LMC, or Thiokol is square on the belt mating surface. There may be some softening/rounding of edges in the tire guides, but that's it.

First i cut down the old drive sprockets:

Then i started cutting the new sprockets. This took forever, almost one hour per sprocket...

Then i drilled the mounting bolt patter:

Then i started test driving it. I even plugged in the fume exhauster:

Unfortunately i didn`t get any good videos...

The tracks worked out really good. There are a few issues with the track assemblies, i need to lower the wheels a bit. I`m going to do this redneck style for now, but will rebuild them later...
Another problem is that the suspension is way too soft. I need to add a few leaves tomorrow...
I also need to rework the rear chain support bearings, the left chain came off at the end of the testing...
