Would you want a sheath on that axe blade? Dunno if it is just the camera angle. Heavy offroading might get it bounce a smidgen and to score your roof. Looks cool though... :wings:

I thought the Fiskars/ Gerber axes came with sheaths? If not, well dang! I was just about to go buy one, but I want a sheath to protect my expensive blade.

Yeah, I have one on order. It came with a plastic box looking protector that wouldn't sit flush on the rack.

It's probably the camera angle.. we wheeled it hard last week and it stayed on fine. If it falls off, it will probably bounce off the window and break that .. doh

I tried to get the balistc nylon sheath for mine and was told they only had the plastic box for the XL axe (~28"). I ended up making a sheath by folding a 2" piece of webbing in half lengthwise, ironing it flat and putting grommets in the ends to hold it together. I use a thin bungie thru the grommets to hold it to the axe.

Yowza! I saw that pic and thought "Somebody's gonna wind up needing stitches!"

Why not just point the blade up? (eh, never mind that suggestion  ) Or in? Probably no "perfect" way to do it on the rack.

That is a purdy axe. Fiberglass handle and all?
